MANILAshowtime, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has placed all government agencies on high alert in preparation for the anticipated effects of Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing).
In a statement on Wednesday, Marcos said agencies must face the typhoon with extra preparation in accordance with long-established guidelines.

As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration said Marce was last spotted 305 kilometers (km) east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, or 315 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.
It was packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph.
